About Saint-Valery-en-Caux Lighthouse
The Phare de Saint-Valery-en-Caux is a charming 12-meter cylindrical lighthouse standing at the end of the western jetty at the entrance to Saint-Valery-en-Caux harbor. Built in 1882 to replace an earlier square brick tower from 1830, this white masonry lighthouse with its distinctive green lantern has guided vessels safely into port for over 140 years. The lighthouse remains fully operational today, its white light flashing every 30 seconds with a range of up to 11 nautical miles.
