Historic Argentan in one day

This compact half-day itinerary explores Argentan's medieval heritage through its two historic churches and ducal castle. Saint-Germain Church opens at 9:00 and features Gothic architecture, 17th-century artwork, and the preserved heart of Blessed Marguerite de Lorraine. The Château des Ducs, now a courthouse, can only be viewed from outside but its Gothic-Renaissance facade is impressive. Saint-Martin Church houses remarkable 16th-century stained glass and a liturgical comb attributed to Thomas Becket. All sites are free to visit and located within easy walking distance.
