Parrot World

Spend a leisurely half-day at Parrot World, a 10-hectare immersive animal park devoted to South American biodiversity, just 45 minutes east of Paris. Stroll through the Amazonia Trek, where over 200 parrots soar freely in one of Europe's largest open-air aviaries, then peer through the underwater window at giant Amazonian otters before meeting jaguars in their forested enclosure. The Patagonia Trek brings you face to face with Humboldt penguins, guanacos, and rheas, while younger visitors can pet alpacas and goats at the children's ranch. The park is entirely outdoors with limited shade, so bring sun protection in summer. It is closed from early January to early February; during late autumn, opening is limited to Wednesdays and weekends.
