About Docks Vauban Shopping Center
Docks Vauban is a unique shopping and leisure center housed in France's oldest dock warehouses, originally built between 1846 and 1884 for storing goods like cotton, coffee, and spices. The historic red and blonde brick buildings, inspired by English warehouses in London and Liverpool, remarkably survived World War II bombardments and were beautifully transformed into a modern shopping destination in 2009 by renowned architects Reichen et Robert. The center features over 60 stores including major brands like Primark, Zara, and H&M, alongside 13 restaurants and a state-of-the-art 12-screen Pathé cinema with 4DX technology.

The original docks were gradually abandoned after the 1960s when containerization revolutionized maritime shipping, making the traditional warehouse storage system obsolete. The buildings sat empty for decades before their remarkable transformation into a shopping center began in 2007.
