Gothic art and history of Mantes-la-Jolie

This itinerary combines the two main cultural landmarks of Mantes-la-Jolie, located steps apart in the historic centre. The Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, often called the Little Sister of Notre-Dame de Paris, features a stunning 9-metre rose window and rare Merklin symphonic organ. The Hôtel-Dieu Museum, housed in a 17th-century former hospital, holds Europe's largest collection of Neo-Impressionist painter Maximilien Luce. Both sites are closed on Tuesdays and on French public holidays for the museum.
