About Biotropica
Biotropica is one of France's largest tropical greenhouse zoos, featuring a massive 6,000 m² climate-controlled tropical environment that transports visitors to exotic habitats year-round. Opened in 2012 and now an EAZA member, the park houses over 1,300 animals across 130 species, including the only Komodo Dragon in France and critically endangered African Slender-Snouted Crocodiles. The 10-hectare site offers nine thematic zones ranging from the tropical greenhouse with sloths, alligators, and anacondas to the Australian Bush where visitors can walk among kangaroos and wallabies.

Biotropica is one of only three parks in the entire world successfully breeding the critically endangered African Slender-Snouted Crocodile, with 20 babies born since 2015. Fewer than 300 of these crocodiles remain in the wild, making this breeding program crucial for the species' survival.
