About Immersive Viking City
The Cité Immersive Viking is a groundbreaking 1,000 m² immersive historical experience center that opened in June 2024, offering visitors a captivating journey through a century of Viking invasions along the Seine. Located in a converted hangar on the banks of the Seine River, this state-of-the-art attraction features 6 thematic rooms with 360° video mapping projections, 3D spatialized sound, and monumental historical sets that bring the Viking era to life. The experience follows the legendary story of Rollo (Rolf the Walker), the Viking chief who signed a peace treaty with French King Charles III in 911 AD, was baptized in Rouen Cathedral, and became the first Duke of Normandy.

The venue is built in Hangar 105 on the banks of the Seine River - the very same waterway that Viking longships navigated over 1,000 years ago when they raided and eventually settled in Normandy. This poetic location creates a powerful connection between the immersive experience and the actual historical events that shaped the region.
