About Lumigny Safari Reserve
Lumigny Safari Reserve is a 71-hectare zoological park located 60 km east of Paris in Seine-et-Marne, housing the world's largest collection of wild cat species — 26 of the 36 surviving feline species on Earth. Originally opened in 2006 as Parc des Félins, the park merged with its Terre de Singes primate section in January 2024 under a unified brand. Visitors explore five pedestrian circuits through spacious natural enclosures home to lions, tigers, snow leopards, cheetahs, jaguars, and dozens of smaller wild cat species.

The park was founded by Patrick Jardin, who also co-founded CERZA zoo in Normandy. It originally operated in Auneau (Eure-et-Loir) from 1998 before relocating to the larger Lumigny site in 2006 to provide better living conditions for the animals. In 2023, Patrick retired and his 21-year-old nephew Hugo Jardin took over as director.
