About Musée Grévin
Musée Grévin is a wax museum on the Boulevard Montmartre in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, founded in 1882 by journalist Arthur Meyer and named after caricaturist Alfred Grévin. The museum displays around 450 lifelike wax figures of celebrities, historical figures, and fictional characters across 12 themed zones covering French history, fashion, cinema, music, and sports. Beyond the wax figures, the building contains two classified historic spaces: the Théâtre Grévin, an Italian-style theater where Émile Reynaud projected the world's first animated films in 1892, and the Palais des Mirages, a hexagonal mirror room salvaged from the 1900 Universal Exposition that produces kaleidoscopic light shows.
