About Noisiel Park
Parc de Noisiel is a vast 87-hectare green space along the Marne River in Noisiel, one of the largest parks in the greater Paris region. Once the private estate of the Menier chocolate dynasty, the park retains echoes of its aristocratic past, including monumental wrought-iron entrance gates designed by architect Henri Parent in 1888 and a curious bear cave folly. Towering ancient trees — giant sequoias, centenary plane trees, and a remarkable self-layering chestnut tree — line the wide allées that wind through meadows, woodlands, and a recently restored wetland area.

At 87 hectares, Parc de Noisiel is more than four times the size of the Luxembourg Garden in Paris, yet remains largely unknown to visitors from outside the local area. French media have dubbed it "ce géant vert méconnu" — the unknown green giant.
