About Château de Champs-sur-Marne
The Château de Champs-sur-Marne is an elegant early 18th-century classical château located just east of Paris, managed by the Centre des Monuments Nationaux. Built between 1703 and 1708 by architects Pierre Bullet and Jean-Baptiste Bullet de Chamblain for financier Paul Poisson de Bourvallais, it represents the perfection of French classical architecture during the transition from Louis XIV's grandeur to the lighter Régence style.
