Châteaux and chocolate in Marne-la-Vallée

This itinerary combines aristocratic heritage and industrial history in the Noisiel area of Marne-la-Vallée. The day begins at the Château de Champs-sur-Marne, an elegant 18th-century residence with exceptional rocaille interiors and formal French gardens. A stroll through Noisiel Park follows, an 87-hectare green space with century-old trees that once belonged to the Menier chocolate dynasty. The route concludes with a guided tour of the Former Menier Chocolate Factory, a pioneering industrial site featuring the iconic Moulin Saulnier. This itinerary is only fully possible on select Saturdays when factory guided tours are available — advance booking is required. The château is closed on Tuesdays.
