About Paris Aquarium
The Paris Aquarium occupies a series of underground galleries beneath the Trocadero Gardens, just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower. Originally built for the 1878 Universal Exposition, it holds the distinction of being one of the world's earliest public aquariums. The facility houses around 13,000 fish and invertebrates across 82 tanks, representing over 500 species from French metropolitan waters, tropical oceans, and overseas territories.
