About Air and Space Museum
France's national air and space museum occupies the historic Le Bourget airport terminal, 8 km north of Paris. The collection spans over 125,000 square meters and houses more than 400 aircraft, from the earliest balloon gondolas and canvas biplanes to modern fighter jets, helicopters, and space rockets. Visitors can board the interiors of a Boeing 747, a Douglas C-47 Dakota used during the D-Day landings, and two Concorde supersonic airliners including the original prototype.

The current site uses the original airport buildings where commercial aviation operated from 1919 until Charles de Gaulle airport replaced Le Bourget in 1977.
