About Liberators Museum - Normandy 1944
A small family-run museum founded in 2012 by Floris Kok, dedicated to honoring the individual soldiers who liberated Normandy during World War II. The collection contains over 250 personal objects donated directly by Allied veterans and their families, including uniforms, field equipment, rations, medical supplies, and photographs. Each artifact tells a personal story rather than simply displaying military hardware.

The museum was founded by Floris Kok, a young Fleming from Belgium/Netherlands, who began collecting veteran donations as a teenager. He personally met and interviewed over 200 Allied veterans before many passed away, preserving their firsthand accounts and acquiring the personal items they wanted to donate to honor their fallen comrades.
