About Villa Montebello Museum
The Villa Montebello Museum occupies an 1865 Anglo-Norman villa built by architect Jean-Louis Célinsky de Zaremba for the Marquise de Montebello. Perched on a hill overlooking the Bay of Seine, this historic monument showcases the birth of seaside resort culture on Normandy's Côte Fleurie through paintings, posters, period costumes, and artifacts from the Second Empire era. The permanent collection includes works depicting Trouville by artists from the Romantic period to the 20th century, plus a dedicated room for painter André Hambourg.
