Vierzon: City Center

Begin at the Vierzon Museum, housed in the former Société Française agricultural machinery factory, where collections trace the city's industrial past through ceramics, railway models, and farming equipment. From there, stroll to Square Lucien Beaufrère, a classified Art Deco garden set on an island between the Yèvre river and the Canal de Berry, adorned with colourful DENBAC ceramic mosaics and a pacifist war memorial. End your walk at the Gothic Church of Our Lady, where a 13th-century bell tower guards a 15th-century Crucifixion stained glass window and an 11th-century baptismal font — one of the oldest objects in town. All three sites are free to enter; the museum is closed on Mondays and Sundays, and shuts entirely in January, so plan your visit on a Tuesday–Saturday.
