About Foundation of Doubt
The Fondation du Doute is a contemporary art space in Blois dedicated to the Fluxus movement, housed in a converted 17th-century convent at 14 rue de la Paix. Opened in 2013 with the support of French artist Ben Vautier, it holds over 300 works by more than 50 artists including John Cage, Yoko Ono, Nam June Paik, and George Maciunas. The permanent collection spans two floors and roughly 1,500 square meters, with labyrinthine gallery rooms on the first floor and an open exhibition space on the second.

The Fondation du Doute grew out of the Musée de l'Objet, which occupied the same building from 1996 to 2013. When Ben Vautier donated a major portion of his personal Fluxus collection, the city of Blois decided to transform the entire space into a dedicated Fluxus center — making it one of the few institutions in the world entirely focused on this movement.
